Overview
Screen printing pushes specially formulated ink through a fine mesh screen onto the substrate, one color at a time. It lays down dense, opaque, vivid color that holds up to UV and abrasion, which makes it a workhorse for panels, overlays, and higher-volume runs.
Because each color uses its own screen, screen printing is especially economical for bold spot colors and large solid areas across a production run.
Artwork is separated into colors, and a screen is made for each.
Ink is pressed through each screen onto the part in registration.
Each layer is cured before the next color is applied.
Finished parts are inspected for color and registration.
